About Muse

Muse was founded by a married couple in 2020 with a simple idea: a place on Hlavná street in Košice they would want to visit themselves – for good coffee and an honest dessert.

The owner has been baking since 2018 and for the first years made every dessert herself. She now leads a team of pastry chefs; everything is still baked on the premises, without pre-made bases.

We chose our coffee by tasting several Slovak roasters and settled on Ebenica Coffee from Modra – for the flavour profile, the range and the support. The grinders hold a stable line-up: Gurmano, Ethiopia, decaf Zero and a rotating limited coffee.

The interior features original paintings by Košice artist Herta Ondrušová-Victorin, a member of the founders’ family. We later added a new lounge-style section, which we also use for celebrations and private gatherings.

The menu changes twice a year. Coffee and house desserts are the core; around them breakfast, matcha specials, house lemonades, cocktails, craft beer on tap and a wine list.
